21st Century Cures Act / Information Blocking Configurations
The language below is part of our standard agreement with our Health Connect Clients addressing the Information Blocking Law (FAIS represents Franciscan Alliance Information Services): FAIS will implement standard configurations of the Software for purposes of addressing the Information Blocking Law (42 U.S.C. 300jj-52) and corresponding regulations ("Information Blocking Law") requirements ("Information Blocking Configurations"). It is solely Practice's responsibility to ensure that the Information Blocking Configurations are, in Practice's opinion, appropriate and sufficient for Practice's compliance with the Information Blocking Law. To the extent Practice does not believe the Information Blocking Configuration are sufficient for Practice to comply with the Information Blocking Law, Practice may request modifications or additional interfaces pursuant to Section 3(d)(iii), Additional Support Services, of the Software Access Agreement. Furthermore, Practice is responsible for reviewing the Information Blocking Configurations to ensure that the Software remains consistent with all applicable legal obligations of Practice.
